Contemplative Soulwork
for Wayfarers, Creatives,
and Midlife Journeyers
Informed by principles rooted in Nature and the alchemical models of growth found within Jungian and Process-Oriented (Dreambody) Psychology, the fundamental premise of Soulfaring is that the human soul (psyche in Greek) is not a static and unchanging "thing" but rather a living, evolutionary, and ever-illuminating process.
The view here is that the ancient intelligence of the soul teaches us through our psyche, via prompts and perceptions of the dreambody (a concept coined by Arnold Mindell that refers to our deeper awareness), and through the somatic experiencing of the body itself.
In this way of being, emotions, deeper stirrings and callings, dreams and synchronicities, animistic or ecospiritual "prompts" from the natural world...even sensations of irritation, grief, or feelings of being disconnected from oneself...are all taken as guideposts along the path.
We each have our own seasons. We each experience our own death-rebirth cycles of growth, decay, and renewal throughout our life (and sometimes all within the same year). We each have our own unique process of alchemical change and initiation. All of these aspects, if tended well, lead to a deeply enriching life. Tending this process is what I call soulfaring.
In the work of Soulfaring, we invoke the spirit of the journey together in a process characterized by sacred dialogue, deeper inquiry about arising life themes, and innerwork explorations designed to support your own apprenticeship to the subterranean wisdom within you -- the numinous enigma of the Deep Self. As a result, areas of focus in this work may include multiple facets of one's life path, from the creative and relational to the mystical, vocational, and spiritual.
